The Night They Shot Santa

There comes a time in every man's life, reporter or not, when reporting the news is far less important than making it. Right now I've stepped away from the role of 'history's writer" into the role of "History Maker." I can only hope that history well receive me well.

At approximately 6:40 this morning, Reindeer Revolution Headquarters, manned by Q-pid and Just'l were in constant communication with the assault forces sent to rescue the Clauses.

As is often the case with these rescue missions, unforeseen events can lay waste to even the most thorough of plans.

In tonight's case, it was the unanticipated destruction of a sleigh, Santa's back up sleigh to be specific, that stranded these brave antlered warriors in hostile territory.

From the encrypted Communication between the assault teams and Q-Pid at headquarters:

Dasher: - Roger that, team leader. We've got our troops and packages behind the rubbish that used to be a big red sled. It's going no where.

Rudolph: Copy that. Base - Do you copy?

Q-pid: Base to team leader - I copy you.

Rudolph: We're going to need another way home. Any ideas?

Asking Q-pid, the inventor reindeer if he has any ideas is akin to asking a chicken it she knows where you can get eggs.
